I recently got a new cover for my pontoon and when the fasteners were installed in the dock they did a terrible job. About 15 pictures fell apart in two weeks. I bought this tool to fix the fasteners myself. The kit included a tool and a set of latches (internal and male). The instructions could have been a bit better, but it wasn't difficult to understand how to use it. Tried clicking on a piece of leftover canvas to set the tool to the correct clamping pressure. I didn't have anything to punch the correct hole in the canvas before attaching the tacks, so I just used an awl, but if I was going to be attaching the tacks to something that would be the final product, I would purchase a suitable punching tool. is. Fortunately, holes were punched in the lid of my boat from the pier on the first try. Took me about 10 minutes to swap out all the faulty latches and they work great. So glad I bought this tool instead of taking the suitcase back to the pier. I'll probably stock up on more shots in case something else falls apart.
