I'm going to sound like a nerd now, but I've always wanted a mushroom brush. We eat a lot of these and sometimes you end up with a product that is harder to clean with regular rinse aid. When I saw it could be tried, I had to try. The bristles are a bit stiffer than I expected and I will only use them for the harder mushrooms. It works very well. I'm not sure if a shovel is necessary because if I were getting rid of the gills I'd probably use a spoon - something with more surface area and easier to grab. In general, I'm glad it is. Mushrooms are one of those rare ingredients that everyone in my family can agree on.
