I am leaving this review to help other potential buyers make an informed purchasing decision. I want to stream Netflix, Hulu, SlingTV, DLNA, etc. from my laptop or tablet to a 1080P HD TV. This works very well with an HDMI cable (full 1080P, very responsive, etc.). I was trying to get rid of the HDMI cable and this device looked promising. I considered two devices, that is the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter. This device is very flexible (analog outputs, wired ethernet, etc.). I have never been able to go up to 1080p resolution with this device. Also, it doesn't flow well. The picture was shaking and the sound was out of sync. I had a long conversation with StarTech Support. They said this device is better suited for an office conference room, displaying relatively static content like PowerPoint slides, and I think it might be suitable for that. The Microsoft device was better, by the way, but not perfect. The picture and sound were better and more in sync, but the resolution was still smaller than 1080P. Conclusion: - I will continue to use the HDMI cable - The cable transfers data much better than air :)
