My husband and I have read a lot of reviews about some sets of 3 or 4 mini glasses that work like great fondue pots. So you can have 3-4 different pots of cheese and sauces at once for fondue night, but that's not true, slow cookers, no matter what, never get hot enough to hold cooking sauces. Some heat up enough to cook but not to this level. After much frustration in finding a fondue pot that worked well, we came up with this one. We've tried a few fondue pots and a triple ladle pot or two, and this one turned out to be our favorite. It heats up quickly, doesn't burn and cooks evenly. We had an old fondue pot from the 70's and when we had our first fondue evening with this new pot, it was our best fondue experience. The cord is long enough to adjust so you can make a fondue with a great movie on your living room coffee table if you want. We also love wine sauces, cheese sauces, soy sauces, and other sauces, some of which are easy to accidentally burn and have tons of smoke in the house, and with this new saucepan we've had no problem bringing them all to different heat levels with no problem ignition. or smoke us out. Great pot for fondue!
