This set contains everything you need to start teaching your child to eat solid food. All elements are made of easy-care silicone. They can simply be washed with soap and water or placed on the top rack of the dishwasher. There are no staining issues and each piece feels solid and sturdy. I found that holding anything with a longer handle would be too difficult for them at first. You can use the mug as an open cup or with the included lid and straw. I like that there are two options. My son currently needs a straw but we practice drinking from open cups so I love that it has two handles. It's easier for him to try, take and maneuver. Overall this is a really great weaning kit and you won't need anything else once you start!
