I bought the smaller version first but upgraded to the larger one because I liked how it worked. The smaller device had a single on/off button at the top, while this one has an adjustable speed dial. The smaller one had a blue LED that never went off (which I had to remove) and this one has a handy on/off switch. Those two differences aside, this device is basically a larger version of what I already had. but both work great. "Wooshing" works great as white noise for sleep, removing dust and pollen from the air like no other. The only downside is that you have to change the water every other day (same for the smaller version) but the water is basically a "filter" which makes sense. Sometimes wet dust forms "snot" in the hopper and you need to rinse it out or clean it with a small brush or something or else the hopper will become clogged. You will notice when the water stops "whistling". I recommend this product to everyone.
