I HIGHLY recommend this product for a relatively easy and inexpensive room upgrade. I bought this product after doing a lot of research on the adhesive backing. There are many options and pros and cons for everyone I'm sure. For our purposes, we wanted an easy DIY option that would dress up and protect our kitchen without breaking the bank. Here are my findings: 1) They are very easy to install, the pieces fit together just like the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle so alignment is pretty easy. It's important to make sure your "pegs" lines go the same way (either all the way up or all the way down) to get the desired result. The resulting cut lines were much cleaner. 3) They are NOT repositionable so make sure you are secure before sticking them. The glue is pretty good and the one I had to pull out absorbed a lot of paint. Hopefully this bodes well for the longevity of its adhesion. 4) They are easy to install but require some attention to detail and patience. The section above took a perfectionist a day and a half, including caulking and painting. Working haphazardly will result in a less than impressive result (as noted in some reviewers' photos) 5) I highly recommend sanding down all the corners and outside edges with some caulk to give it a more tile-like appearance, but it's not necessary. 6) Regarding the "sticky to the touch" complaint in many reviews, the point that almost turned me off them, it goes through pretty quickly, and it's handy for the installation process to keep the tiles from cracking become slippery. a few hours and rub them off after installation, most of that feeling is gone. They are non-sticky and can be wiped off easily. 7) The hardest part for me was making the right cuts around the sockets. You expect, only needed for incorrect cuts The 2nd drawing is an example of how easy it is to make certain cuts with a pair of sharp scissors.
