Review on DMT WM8EF WB 8 Inch DuoSharp Bench: A Reliable Sharpening Solution for Precision Cuts by Abaraham Duvernot

Expensive but worth it

I work with wood a lot and have to sharpen different blades all the time. I've tried different types of stones and sharpening tools over the years and this one is the best. Don't confuse this with the fastest. While faster than stone, it's not as fast as some mechanical sharpeners. However, this creates an excellent advantage over them. I wish I had a full set of these tools, but I can't bring myself to spend that kind of money right now. Maybe sometime. PS - Yes, after sharpening several blades, they don't seem to cut either. That's true, but to be expected. When you get these new diamonds, they have very sharp edges that will wear out after a few cuts. They will wear down to a much more even and less aggressive surface. It may seem to you that this doesn't sharpen the blade, but I promise you it does. If you look closely, you will notice that the bevel of the blade has become much sharper afterwards. After that I didn't notice that the diamonds are more worn.
