that saved me from buying new winter walking shoes
So I have these good winter walking shoes from the end of the world. I broke a pair of elastics on my boot so I bought 4 extra lace hooks to replace the original ones. I just drilled through the originals and I have dies to punch through. So make sure you have dies to rivet them together or you can also buy a button rivet/punch set from Revain. I do leather goods because I love riding Harleys, and if a vest or something breaks, I like fixing things like that. So it saved me from buying new winter running shoes.
