I bought this cutter to sand down a bullnose to finish my raised fireplace in the corner of our living room. The material I used was white oak recycled from a turn of the century building. It's a beautiful wood with a much denser texture than what you see these days and it's tough. Very complicated. However, like all Freud routers I've had, this got the job done quickly and left me with very little sanding. To be honest if I wasn't so picky I could leave it alone, but I sanded it down a bit to make it rough because it was too smooth and shiny. Sure, there are cheaper beats that have the same profile, but they won't do it as well or as long as Freud.
