This particular part has replaced one I have had for over 40 years. It took so long to finally crack. I'm so glad I was able to find it. Now I can make a packet (usually 1lb) in under 20 minutes and it comes out perfect. The trick with the bacon is to cover it with 1 sheet of kitchen paper so it absorbs the fat and gets crispy. I use 1 row of double-ply paper towels on the bottom and 1 row of single-ply paper towels on top. You can't cook up an enteric pound in one go. I usually cook 6-8 slices at a time; Minute per slice (8 slices take 8 minutes to cook). It turns out nice and crispy every time. Don't leave paper towels lying around when you take them out of the microwave. Take it off immediately. You will not regret it!
