Review on Tyler TKS2-WH Bluetooth Under Cabinet Music System - White: Kitchen Clock Radio, FM Radio, Digital Clock, Hands Free Speakerphone, LED Work Surface Lighting by Mark Lowery

Bought this unit to replace an old GE undermount radio and cassette deck. I follow different radio stations in the morning, so it's important for me to be able to easily switch between stations. Advantages: 1. Compact size/white color/slim design2. The LED under cabinet lighting was a bonus3. Easy installation in minutes with flush mount or recessed box4. Normal sound at a reasonable price5. Volume controls, not "push" buttons +/-6. Some bonus Bluetooth features Cons: 1. Poor reception compared to the previous device. The previous device did not have an external VHF antenna. This device has a wire to unfold and stretch the body for better FM radio reception. Not perfect!2. Note: This device has a strange volume problem! If you turn the device off and on again, the default volume is much higher. I should be ready to turn it off in the morning. I'm not sure if this is a defect or an actual factory setting.3. Our particular device seems to have come with a dead battery to save the clock settings. If the power is turned off or lost, the device clock will be reset.4. The control buttons on the front panel are very small and do not light up. They are extremely difficult to see in low light.5. This device has preset radio options, but you have to double-click each time to get each preset. It works, but it's tedious. Overall: This is a cheap box radio with a very small footprint. It works and looks good, but the wired FM antenna, power-on volume spikes, and built-in double-click features leave too many weak spots for me to recommend to anyone. You might want to spend a little more for something better and read reception, sound, and feature control reviews before you buy.
