I am using this on a low ceiling and since most fans do the same thing I wanted the light in it to be bright enough for my 16 x 12 living room. It's bright enough for me, moves air well, doesn't wobble or make any noise. One problem is that the plastic blades aren't quite "white." Whatever resin they were molded from (I've done this before), the blades are left with colorless whorls that can be seen from certain angles and under certain lighting conditions. It doesn't bother me, but if you're expecting clean white blades, this isn't it. I use this indoors and if you use it on the porch you won't notice the blades. The included remote control is chunky and lacks style, but if it holds up I consider it a good buy. Update: Blade swirls are due to particles being attracted due to the plastic used for the blades. You can delete the movie.
