There are a lot of parts, it takes time to think about assembling to get the parts in the right direction to make everything fit together, but it's nice and light but robust. I put them on top of old stacks of paper and other stationery etc in my office. They hold fairly heavy objects. The "shelf" is made of durable fabric, so most of the items I have are supported by a support structure, with the fabric helping to support the item rather than resting all of the weight on the fabric alone. A few pieces are only on the fabric part and it flexes a bit but doesn't look like it's going to tear or anything. In general very happy with the purchase.
