I used a Kreg hinge tool to make a custom sized concealed bathroom mirror in walnut. I bought a jig to cut the correct holes as well as the depth required to mount some of the Blum soft close hinges. in walnut for my mirror. I used a 1/2" cordless drill to make the holes. The drill bit is sharp enough to cut through walnut and oak without chipping, just let the blade do its job. Hard plastic rather than metal. I know the cost of the device will go up if they make this change but it will be worth the extra cost. , just make sure you hold it perfectly perpendicular to the project part. If you put too much sideways force on the drill practice, you can melt the drill guide, which changes the accuracy of future holes.
