Advertising is misleading. Building a structure of balls and sticks can work well for a very patient child of 6-8 years old. I bought this for a 3 year old thinking it would be something like a craft toy but it's not easy for a small child to put the pieces together. Balls have too many different types of holes, and sticks easily fit in just one type of hole. An understanding of angles is required to build the various structures shown in the figure. It can be a good toy for an older child who is patient and likes to build. My husband and I put together a larger design (pictured on the box) for our 3 year old granddaughter. She liked to cover it with a light piece of fabric and pretend it was a tent. He held on pretty tight as she squeezed his sides to get in and out.
