I took a chance on this outfit as it was so cheap, and look how it turned out! So freaking cute! I ordered the 4/5T for my four year old who weighs 38 pounds, and it fit her like a glove! The material is a thin corduroy, not thick at all, so no worry's about sweating badly in our humidity inclined Spring weather. I was afraid it would be too short from the pictures online, but it fits her perfectly with the material falling just above her knees. The sleeves ended perfectly as well too with a little ruffle that coordinates well with the ruffle on the chest of the dress. There is a zipper in the back, and it's nearly hidden so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. I paired the dress with knee high Jeffery ruffle socks, and black shoes. Yes, there are two thick suede brown ribbons on the front of the dress that are just tacked on, and I was going to use a seam ripper, and exchange them for a black ribbon bow, but I was too lazy, and just left it. It still turned out so cute, and I had so many compliments on this dress! I did wash it twice now, and it comes out of the dryer just like it did when I first received it with no shrinkage that I've witnessed. The material has help up nicely as well with no loose strings or frayed edges so far. The only issue I have had is that she'll itch her neck as the material comes up around her neckline, and she does have very sensitive skin, and the last time she wore it for about six hours she had light redness around her neck that from scratching that went away in about ten minutes. Just food for thought if you have a sensitive skin child. Again, that was the only issue, but otherwise, this is a gorgeous dress!
