Fairly easy to install. I installed this on my 2000W Champion Duel Generator. I made him a simple removable tray out of scrap metal. However, I could mount it on the top or side and just thread the wire through the plastic just as easily. The end of the sensor wire is wrapped around the spark plug wire 6 times and tightened with a zip tie (included). The other end (after you have routed the cable) is then inserted into the slot on the back of the meter. I left some length (so I could remove the spark plug) and trimmed the rest so I didn't end up with a bunch of wires. I tested the timer for 6 minutes (0.1 hour), 30 minutes (0.5 hour) and 1 hour. It was right there. Let's see how it holds up.
