Locking nut is not installed.
These are perfect for securing pins on a lanyard. We bought them for a future pin trading trip. The only down side is that the locking nuts were not installed into the main locking pieces. It is definitely worth the money for them, just be ready for a little eye strain seeing the tiny pieces as you assemble them. Also, be sure to assemble them somewhere so that if you drop the tiny locking nut you can find it again. I used a white terry cloth towel under my working area.
