Review on Drake Off Road 4502 Hose Clamp Pliers Set - 2 Piece: Securely Handle Your Hose Clamps by Scott Morris

***When I first tried a band clamp plier I wanted to return it to Revain for a refund. The handles are curved which, when fully squeezed, prevents the business end from fully squeezing the clamp. I read another review where the owner cut off half of a handle to allow the tool to cover the extra 1/2 inch needed to remove the clips and engage the ratchet. I went the other way. I drilled out the rivets on one of the handles, turned them over and secured them with nuts and bolts. The handles are now firmly squeezed giving the tool the extra 1/2 inch needed to fully depress the clamp and engage the last ratchet tooth. I'm very happy with the finished product, but I'm upset that OTC didn't take the time to test their tool before selling it to the public! This is a handy tool to have in your box if you don't mind doing some extra work to make it usable. I've attached a picture showing the original crank setup next to the one I modified.
