Works great as a pen and stylus, looks well made, lots of nice touches I'd appreciate twice as much. ChaoQ is the first pen ink I've seen in the right form factor with all the features I need at a reasonable price. Highly recommended from what I saw today, but just got them - details to follow. I lost one of the pens I got about 5 years ago that I carried with me all the time and decided it was time for some backup pen tip and pocket clip. $10 for a set of 4, along with 4 refills for each of the mesh and rubber pen nibs, and solid reviews, it wasn't much of a risk, and a bunch of different colors seemed like a fun option. I will update this review if my opinion changes with my experience with them but I have to say they really exceeded my expectations. he is with The pens have a smooth, solid Cross-style twist mechanism (kind of territory for Cross-stem pens, but there are plenty of cheap Cross-nots that get it wrong). They're a bit thicker than typical Cross pens, more like a Parker Jotter in cross section, which I prefer anyway; they fit perfectly in the hand as a ballpoint pen or stylus (if you like cross skinny, you may want to take that into account). The red and blue (nearly indigo) colors are rich with iridescent metallic undertones, and the pocket clips are neither too tight/hard nor too flimsy. Ink pens also write fluently. There are about half a dozen ways to disappoint me with a ballpoint pen, and these ChaoQ pens manage to avoid them all; This is probably the nicest $2.50 pen I've ever owned. It also seems to be a very good stylus, the fabric glides easily across the screen and the tip is hard enough to tap on checkboxes or other items without having to press them into the screen. . The mechanism for attaching the nib to the tip of the pen (put the nib on the shank in the middle of the threaded tip and then secure with a screw connection) works well. I'm hoping this will stabilize over time (the capacitive tips on my old pens were a little harder but tended to come loose without a drop of LocTite on the threads). If that's what you're looking for, I'd just go with these. If a family member could use a dual-use pen or two, they would make great stockings too.
