I have purchased several of these kits to connect up to 3 16ft reels of tape together using the Hitlights solderless connectors. (Great, but don't count on reusing.) I used a Torchstar DMX decoder to control them from the lighting desk. I cut off the end of the power supply that came with the ribbon and used it to power the DMX decoder. I didn't mind cutting off the PS end as I won't be using a remote control receiver. And as I bought more of the same kit, I had extra horsepower. Great color but the dimming profile isn't perfect. They click at about 5% and click fast. But with some fancy programming this can be avoided. Cutting and joining the ribbons is very easy. Note: If you are using Hitlights connectors, peel off the adhesive backing a little first. The adhesive backing is hard to see through and since I'm reusing mine I use fastening zips to install and leave the backing. Cheap, fairly durable and good value for money. Everything you need is included in the package, and the cables and connectors are very cheap. Adds an amazing level to events, theater sets and your kitchen.
