Finally perfect for my shelf and my Kenyan sand boa! I love the depth of this tank as many of the others are so narrow they are only 12 inches wide - 18 inches gives her enough room to stretch out! I've filled it with lots of things to explore and she seems to be really enjoying the new space. I love that it folds up for travel and is lighter than a standard terrarium. The doors and lid seem secure and my snake hasn't been able to escape yet. I use a small halogen heat lamp to do this - as long as you don't get it too close to the edge of the lid you're fine. The packaging was very sturdy and nothing broke. Took me about 20 minutes to assemble, the instructions are very clear and simple. If you know how to assemble ready-made furniture, you can do it.
