Very satisfied, I had doubts at the price, but rigor, quality and functionality all get 5 stars. Light output is full spectrum, including a small amount of actinic blue, and output power is clearly in the claimed 25W range, which is more than the double fluorescent unit it replaced. Emphasizes colors provocatively and gives a beautiful natural shimmer effect. It's fitted with newer, higher-wattage LEDs compared to the smaller, lower-wattage LEDs from a few years ago (you'll still use them in a lot of lights). The advantage of this design is simplicity, even spectral distribution and less heat generation. Trying to achieve this color spectrum and power output used to be a challenge and required mixing and matching 2 different lamps. Therefore, I was surprised that the design with one LED type turned out to be correct. As for the installation. It fits perfectly in my 29 gallon aquarium with or without mounts. Stays cool enough to be placed directly on a glass cover without brackets while still leaving about 1/4 inch of space for the LEDs. Very unobtrusive, just a sleek black curved cover that can be removed to fit an existing one. A faucet if needed. There is no switch but I always use a timer and in my 40+ years of experience with marine aquariums the switches are the first to fail.
