Don't buy a printer and don't buy ink. I had a perfectly working printer, but I bought a new HP laptop. The printer did not work. So HP "offered" me a new printer for a price. I bought it and after ONE MONTH the printer stopped printing. Instead, I get a message that my printer is not compatible. HP tech support (somewhere in India) spent an hour remotely fixing the issue, told me the issues were related to automatic updates, and "offered" to give me a warranty for a "nominal fee" Selling from $50 a month. (THAT'S FIFTY DOLLARS A MONTH!). I declined the offer. That was three months ago (3 months ago). Now the printer fails again with the same message that my laptop is not "compatible". This is vanity. DO NOT BUY IT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. THEY WILL BE DECEPTIONAL. I am returning the printer (which I had for 5 months) and will now use the local library to print. I also contact the Better Business Bureau.
