Some technical details about video surveillance

First of all, this is obviously a webcam, not an IP camera. So if you look at a cheap surveillance camera here, you might not necessarily find it. This camera has a pretty high max resolution of 1600 x 1200 (2 megapixels), but I just want to say that if you're shooting with the included Logitech app, the frame rate is capped at 15 fps, not the 30 fps the Specifications/box are listed on the . RightLight technology makes the image/video brighter by increasing the exposure time, so you have to wait longer before closing the shutter. the result is an even lower frame rate. This can be very low in low light down to 1 fps. The face tracking feature is also very poor and most likely won't be what you expected as it almost always loses sight of you and then focuses on a random object and locks and never moves again until you press the "Re-center" button " to press. ". on the PTZ controls (pan/tilt/zoom). I've also noticed that it can sometimes get stuck when panning and also needs to be re-centered. Panning is jerky and neither smooth nor fast, which is a reason for that could be that face tracking doesn't work as well. This camera's zoom is purely digital, which means it crops part of the image and tries to fill in missing detail by sampling nearby pixels. At max resolution, the max zoom still produces a blurry image.Pan range (horizontal) is a reasonable 189 degrees, but the 102-degree tilt (vertical) limits his ability to see straight up (or down if he's on a ceiling), which effectively creating a blind spot in your surveillance area Things, it's a USB camera again of course, but what you might not know is that such cameras don't have any hardwarev at all development so that your computer can process the data. This means that depending on the speed of your computer, you may not be able to record in HD resolution. All the necessary processing is most likely done in the PC software, even the auto focus setting. This is a very simple and lightweight camera component in a motorized body. The included software doesn't allow you to disable the amber LED when it's on, but you can do so simply by editing the registry for the appropriate DWORD value. This camera model contains a mechanical autofocus lens. Of course, you can use third-party programs to improve the product's performance. Webcam 7 lets you control your camera remotely, but the zoom feature doesn't work from there. I give it 4 stars out of 5 because it is a good product for its purpose but lacks some other qualities. That being said, it's still one of the trendiest /webcams/ you can buy.
