Required an external webcam to capture video, which would not be possible with the laptop's built-in camera. This worked great and easily on my connected MacBook Pro (with converter to USB-C, not included). worked. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to get the ring light working, but it was easy and the light tone and brightness options are great! What really struck me was the little thing. It comes with a small flexible tripod which I didn't need as I wanted to mount it on my hand. but that meant it had a screw mount on it, meaning I could screw it straight onto the mount, no tape or anything!
