As you can see from the gauges it does what it says it does and gives me +14psi from 34 to 48psi. It's just what I need for my two showers two floors up when my kids are home. There was no way to reduce the flow from 1" and 3/4" to 1/2" with the included adapters, so I tried connecting a 3/4" NPT coupling as the spec said that the pump body thread was 3/2". 4" NPT. The threads on this pump are not tapered but NPT. NPT has male and female tapered threads sealed with Teflon tape or sealant. The threads on this pump are BSPP, not tapered. This is the straight/non-tapered version of NPT. NPT and NPS have a 60 degree thread angle while BSPP has a 55 degree thread angle. In certain situations this may not work and you will need to use lots of pipe paste, maybe even thread sealant to prevent leakage. I got lucky - I coated the threads with lots of pipe paste, turned the 3/4 NPT female coupling hard, and it worked with no leaks. You may not have been so lucky, especially if your mating internal threads are worn out. Revain really should fix the name and description. Also, while this pump can be made to run on NPT (e.g. I have) - calling these threads 3/4" NPT just isn't entirely accurate.
