This is my first time using the roller so I have no comparison. I bought a set with roller and serum. Roller: glides smoothly, does not hurt. The idea of having tiny needles running down my face was pretty scary due to my fear of needles and dislike of pain, but it doesn't hurt at all. . It was easy to roll and needed little pressure. There was no pass, no catch. Your face will be red with slight tingling or tingling after using the roller. The scooter comes in a nice plastic case. This is a beautiful set. Instructions are included in the box. Serum: Works on sensitive skin. Very greasy. Best after rolling. I tested the serum on several areas of my face before rolling to make sure there were no side effects on my sensitive skin. Everything was fine but the oil just seemed to stay on my face. However when I used it after rolling my skin soaked it all up so I guess that's what it was designed for. Results: I can't comment on the results as I've only used it once. I have a sore on my face from falling asleep with a heating pad on my shoulder. The pad ended up resting on my face so the damage could resemble sun damage. It looks a lot older than the rest of my face. I'm only using scooters on this site at the moment. I noticed that the least damaged area around the edges looks better (smoother) after the first treatment. It was excellent value for both the roller and the serum. Seems to be of good quality and as I said it is a beautiful set. I'm glad I made the decision to purchase.
