We have two stubborn huskies that are being trained. I'm not a big fan of shock collars but also wanted something that would get rid of the extra fur. We use this for sound and vibration functions. The ability to adjust the strength of the vibration and shock are very welcome features as they allowed us to completely reduce the shock to the point where we just couldn't feel it in the event of an accidental button press. As we have huskies it was nice to see the extra attachments to allow the barbs to go through the fur without choking. Their battery life is very good. I forgot to turn them off for a week and they still had enough power to use them. The only downside we've found so far is the strap. Fitting our huskies' necks left a lot of mess. Excesses that our bitch chewed and adapted too hard for herself. We don't want to cut the straps as this can lead to fraying, but it is still possible. Overall this is a great product and would recommend for training.
