Review on Lenovo Thunderbolt 3 Essential Dock (40AV0135EU) by Janis Liekmanis ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The purchase was not entirely successful, there were minor problems in use.

If it weren't for the "fault" with the connection of the two 2k displays, everything would be wonderful and convenient. p.s. I will confess that everything functions normally when two external full-hd screens (1920 x 1080) are connected. Got pros: 1) A sufficient number of ports for connecting a variety of peripherals, including dp and hdmi monitors (no more than 2), usb mouse, flash drives, optical discs, and hard disk drives (ssd), wired internet (rj-45), and a separate type-c connector for charging smartphones and other electronic devices. 3.5 millimeters for the headphone speaker input 2) small size, doesn't take up much room on the table 3) thinkpad design with a red border on the bottom 4) power button "mirror" that lets you turn the laptop on while it's turned off or in sleep mode. tested on a ThinkPad; I can't speak to how it performs on other brands. 5) Even with two monitors and other peripherals connected, the power source that is included can charge the laptop; this is a really convenient feature. Cons: after the purchase, there is only one monitor available with a 2k resolution (a Lenovo 27) ") was attached for a considerable amount of time, the dock delivered the promised results, which were 2560 by 1440 at 60 hertz. I just recently connected a second one, which is also 2k (2560x1440) " (dell 24"). Because of this, Dell is only able to produce a "image" that is a maximum of 2048 by 1080 pixels and operates at a frequency of 25 hertz, both of which are extremely discouraging and make it impossible to produce a "picture." The support site states that this docking station should be able to support two 2K 60Hz monitors, but it does not. ThinkPad laptop, complete with all the necessary bios, Windows, "firmware" ates, and drivers for the dock itself (from the lenvo website). flaws in the program were discovered during testing the firmware. I intend to replace the dock while the warranty is still active (three years is a very long time for an attachment!), and I'll let you know how it goes in a follow-up post.
