The fabric is thick, the color matches the picture but that's where it ends. Although I ordered the size based on my measurements, the vest can be used with a zipper that opens at both ends. Trying to fish something out of your pants pockets becomes a cumbersome maneuver as you first have to empty your vest pockets and then lift up to retrieve something. This is another matter; bags. I can't figure out why the top pocket is fake. It would be nice to have a real one. Also 2 side pockets, everything falls out when I lean forward or kneel. Finally the waist cord, in my case as I have a well developed chest the cord sits on the lower part of my chest and looks ridiculous. I will have to keep looking for a vest that combines beauty and functionality.
