I have also tried activated charcoal, diatomaceous earth, and other astringents and find this to be the preferred and affordable option for any death, detox, or symptom that impairs brain clarity. . Diatomaceous earth didn't seem to offer the same support as L-ornithine. Personal Note and Recommendation: After using this and other NOW products among many disease-fighting supplements, I switched to microbial parasite control formulas and Lyme disease protocols and find them much more effective and life-changing for me personally.
