I put off buying a new alarm clock for a long time because I got so used to my old one and wore it for many years - over time the buttons really started to wear out, so it was time to invest in a new one. I actually like this new watch better than the old one - it's not as big and I like that I can turn off the alarm with a simple push of a button instead of sliding the button to the off position like I did with the old one have. Another feature I really like is that even after turning off the alarm, if it rings in the morning my alarm will stay set until the end of the week and will ring at the same time the next day. Remember to set the alarm every night before bed. The sound doesn't bother me at all - it's not loud, harsh or harsh, it's on a higher level than it can be. A person who is a really sound sleeper can sleep through the night, but I'm a very light sleeper so it works great for me. I appreciate you being able to adjust the brightness level on the watch as the 'normal' setting I find is very bright. when he's standing next to my bed I double-press the button to dim it to the lowest brightness level, which is great - when I turn over at night I can still see the time, but it's not bright enough to keep me awake.
