Review on πŸ”’ Master Lock M175XDLF Heavy-Duty Outdoor Combination Lock with 1.5" Shackle, Enhanced Brass Finish by Jeff Hall

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Sturdy construction, poor design and poor workmanship. Good thing thieves in my area have low IQ

Second lock I'm buying. Good construction, poor design of locking mechanism. With the help of a 10 minute YouTube video and 5 free minutes, I learned how to "pick" this lock and calculate the combination in less than a minute. Sturdy construction, poor design and poor workmanship. The tolerances are so great that I could look into the lock without tools and figure out the combination. I bought it to lock up my boat. The only reason I bought another lock like this is because it's cheap, strong enough that bolt cutters can't pick it, and because thieves in my area don't have a high enough IQ to pick any guy or to decode. Lock; If they had hacked, they would have broken the lock into pieces. "Better cut resistance"? Okay, I'll give you that, good boron carbide shackle "better weather resistance"? yes, my other lock was about 2 years in the rain and in the sun and there is only slight rust in the form of discolouration on the shackle. I sprayed it with WD-40 maybe once or twice but it still didn't block me. "Anti-washing machine" yes, but you missed the entrance from the other side, master, but "7 out of 10" in the safety rating? I think level 10 is the easiest. You must step up your game, masters! The blind dial feature is pretty good, it came in handy on my other lock. I also use it to leave my lock at 0000. So if someone picks my lock, or at least tries, they most likely won't reset it to 0 so I know who's spying. Also, if you really take care of it, the rubber valve will break very easily or just fall off. Here's how I deciphered it: This lock is surprisingly easy to decipher, all you have to do is turn it on its left side and spin each wheel until you see a gate above the number wheel. The closure is a deeper slot in the inner stop wheel. Find all four gaps and rotate each wheel 180 degrees by moving up 5 numbers and your lock will unlock.
