This worked great on a 2005 Subaru Forester and I will be using it on a 2010 Forester soon to replace the timing belt. It's made of good, thick (probably 1/4 inch) steel and has quality fasteners strong enough for the torque applied to the crankshaft bolt. In general, this is a good, simple, and reliable tool. two types of Subaru Crank/Harmonic Balancer Pulleys and you can certainly make your own adapters or drill and tap additional bolt holes to use this on even more cars. I highly recommend this tool.
