Review on Organize Your Living Room With Joywell Remote Control Holder Armchair Caddy! by Brian Gordon

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best chair caddy I've found, hands down.

Best arm rest caddy I've found, hands down. The caddy material is very sturdy and the pockets are loose enough to fit things easily, but tight enough that big, heavy items like iPads do not cause the pockets to gape out excessively. I've seen reviews that complain that the material is not a soft cloth but instead is canvas - it isn't a soft cloth, but I don't think it's canvas, either. If it IS canvas, I would say it's the softest canvas I've ever seen. I'd just call it material made with tougher threads. Not soft, but not rub your arm raw like sandpaper, either. It does not bother me, is not quickly wearing out where my arm rests, and the big one for me, it is not snagging from my cats' nails when they walk on it, even though they slide on it and have to deploy their claws to stay in place. I was little worried about that.Use with recliners: I've also seen people say they can't use this because their recliner cushions do not lift off so they can run the tail of the caddy under it. My chair is a recliner with a cushion that cannot be removed, and I have no problems. I just stuffed the tail between the side of the chair and the cushion and that has held it perfectly. There was actually so much tail I was afraid I wouldn't be able to fit it all in there at first. In regards to that really long length of tail material, I THINK it may actually be long enough that you could use this as a bed caddy if you wanted. I did not try it, but it seems like the tail is long enough to go far enough back between two mattresses that the weight of the mattress might be able to hold the weight of a full caddy. No guarantees on that, though. The only possible negative to this is the tight weave of the tougher thread makes the surface slippery. If you put something like your phone on it, there's a good chance it'll slide off if placed off-center on the arm or if the chair is jostled. However, it falls right into a pocket and not onto the floor, so this isn't a problem for me.I'm very happy with this and an debating buying another for the other arm.

Pros
  • Too big for small woman size chair. Well constructed.
Cons
  • May be uncomfortable for those with sensitive skin
