Review on 🔧 Albion Engineering B12MG Pointing Loading Tool by Jerimiah Augustine

This equipment was purchased to assist in the application of SpecMix putty on a new 1.5 story brick fronted home. The first attempt on the test page failed. We started by mixing the mortar to a consistency suitable for grouting. The gun jammed before the mortar was even in place. We then mixed up successive small batches, making each successive batch looser or wetter. Only when the mortar became so loose that it seeped between the bricks did the gun continue to work without clogging. To increase our chances of success, we ordered a FritzPak (Superciser 5) plasticizer pack and ran the same series of tests. There was no success until the mortar became too loose to stay in place. This is really very bad. I wanted this device to work and had high hopes because it was developed by an American engineering company that has been around for a long time. The device gets three stars because it didn't work for us, but is solidly built and well thought out. I'm afraid it may be due to physics causing this device and other similar malfunctions. We hope to find a solution that works permanently.
