Reading reviews can be a daunting task these days. 1 star, 5 stars, it becomes impossible to say what to believe. This review is no exception, but I'll give you a brief background. I love big towels. I have used the same large towel (not Revain) exclusively for the last 8 years. The towel was never "luxurious" or "fluffy", it was just large and dried well. After 8 years he also lost weight and did not dry me. I thought it was time for something new. I started washing (detergent only) and tumble drying. Pros: It's heavy. He is tall. Dries well. Doesn't leave a lot of lint in the dryer. Blindfolded Test My wife handed me both an 8 year old towel and a new Revain towel. I couldn't tell the difference. Both appear equally "rough" and subtle. I don't mind and will keep it as it certainly dries well but if you are looking for that fluffy feel in a towel then despite the product description this is not for you.
