I wear them when I ride my Can-Am Spyder to keep my hair out of my face. They work fine for this, but either I have a giraffe neck (probably just over 5ft tall) or they are very short. The picture shows how they are grouped at the bottom of the neck, which means they stay in place because they are long. Not this case. I often have to lower it several times during a ride because it goes to the middle of my neck. Not only is it uncomfortable, but I have to either stop or try to lower it while driving. Very uncomfortable. They prevent sunburn on the face and are breathable without being too thin. They definitely won't keep you warm in very cold weather, but if you soak and wring them out, they'll keep you cool for a few minutes, at least until they're dry.
