I just washed the duvet (using salt to set the colors) and used it for one night. It barely fit in my washing machine, ugh. (US medium/small home washing machine. Top loading.) I bought this to replace my dying comforter that has served me well for ten years, cotton outside with synthetic filling. I hate sheets so I sleep under the covers. (Actually, I sleep in a blanket rolled up like a taco, don't judge me.) Yes, the blanket is thin (reminds me of a moving blanket, honestly), which I expected because the batting is very dense, not fluffy. . This is perfect for me because I want to be able to layer over it. So far I've found it to insulate as well as I'd hoped from a thin blanket, but didn't make me sweat. (I've found that the synthetic filling can apparently make you sweat.) And it's super soft and comfortable, and absolutely the perfect size for a taco nap. I am very satisfied so far and if it lasts (who knows these days) it will be worth the money. The colors are beautiful and look very vibrant in my bedroom. I think it has a bit more blue and purple than shown in the pictures so it looks more like a real rainbow but still looks very much like the pictures. The pillowcases are also quilted, I don't know how I feel about that, I don't know if I will use them.
