Basically an expanding massage roller. This makes it easy to carry so you can use it at the gym or make it portable. In that sense it's good. My main issue is that it's not very comfortable when used on wider areas like my shoulders and back. The foam roller I have is much better for this. When I press the roller, it sags a bit in the middle and that could be a problem. However, it works quite well on the sides of my thighs and small areas. So, do I recommend it? If you need a portable scooter after a workout, this is a good option. However, I think an old fashioned foam roller will suffice since I don't have to carry the roller around. But if you do, consider it.
