The clips are very nice, they are metal so they have some weight which I like. Having long and thick hair, I had trouble getting the hair clips in place. Spring clips will one day get loose in my hair, and branch clips won't be able to hold any part of my hair. I went ahead and gave it to my niece who has long but thin hair. The branches were perfect for her hair. They were tight, not tight, and looked very pretty on her. Spring clips are hit or miss, but overall they work a lot better for her. Not bad overall, just not for my hair. she loves them
