I think it was a big but great and justified purchase for my business. The machine is very easy to use with simple instructions. I was very happy to see how easy it was to use as it was intimidating as I had never used a heat press before. I love it great that mugs and hats are included.Although I don't really see myself, plattenpress en it's nice to have them in case I get requests for personalized plates. You must place the press on a solid surface. I put mine on a metal filing cabinet. You also need plenty of room to safely retract your abs when it's time to remove your t-shirt from your abs. You are working with a hot machine and do not want to burn yourself or have the press too close to other objects that could cause damage or fire. Remember that the heat press will take a few minutes to reach the set temperature and it will beep to let you know it's ready to use. It is not operational when powered on. The heating of the press is very good, but I expected a little hotter for the price and size. You must follow the temperature and press time setting instructions that come with each htv brand for the specific media you are printing designs onto and the type of htv you are using. Not all htvs are the same. Some of these negative reviews are due to user error and failure to follow specific HTV brand instructions. The user can easily screw up the project if they didn't follow the correct instructions, pressed time and temperature. You need to make sure you're using the right materials, and exfoliation is crucial. If your brand says "cold peel in 45 seconds" or "hot peel", it means it! The quality of your shirts etc depends on following the instructions. I like the teflon sheets that come with the kit. I've learned that using teflon sheeting on matte vinyl will add a sheen to the finished print and may embed fabric fiber shapes into your decal if pressed too long or at too high a temperature. Some projects require a Teflon sheet during printing. Just always follow the instructions and I've created project sheets to use to prepare. That way I know what I'm doing with each project and what adjustments I need to make for each. It's definitely better than using a regular iron and cuts my time in half. I would suggest doing some test projects so you can get familiar with the heat press and the attachments. It does what it's made for. I can't help but mention that you follow the directions for the press and the type of vinyl you're using. I have now clicked 7 items and now feel confident in my review for having used them a little. I am very happy with my purchase.
