My headlight went out after installation just over a year ago. I've wanted to try a set of LED lights for a long time and gave them a try. The LED bulb kit comes with a couple of zip ties, installation instructions for all your bulbs (you'll need to find the instructions for your bulbs), small (and I mean TINY) gloves to prevent oil from getting on the bulbs from your hands. . It's plug and play. No additional adapter required to avoid flicker or interference with other tools. To install it on the charger I just had to remove the filter box. There is some difficulty accessing the lamp housing but with patience and care I was able to remove the sealing cap and gain access without putting the car on ramps/jacks or removing the inner wheel arches. Once the old bulbs are removed, installation is pretty easy. Insert the LED lights into the lamp housing and connect the car/light connector to the new LED lamp. Then carefully place all the wires and the canbus box inside the case and set the sealed cup in place. I was concerned that the lamp with fan, the cable coming from the lamp, the canbus box and the car plug would not fit in the sealing cup, but I went through it without any problems. Now to my minor installation issues. When screwing a new LED light into the housing, the light itself detached from the adapter ring around it. It took a minute to pull it out and see why it came loose. The adapter ring and the lamp itself are two separate parts. Find out! I was able to reattach the ring to the lantern and successfully fit it into the housing, keeping the lantern secure. One of the lights didn't work after I installed it. I've read the instructions and one of the troubleshooting suggestions says to rotate the connector and plug it the other way. It's almost like you're trying to connect a USB cable, but that's not the case. With them, however, it kicks in on its own, but works only in the right position. I did this and the light worked. Remember that. I thought the light was broken and got annoyed. After I calmed down, I decided to read the instructions and noticed this as a possible reason. Here it is. They work and are very bright! I deducted one star because the flashlight and adapter ring were separate pieces and fell apart after the ring was attached to the flashlight body. I was able to fix this easily in my situation but may be problematic in other vehicles or scenarios.
