Review on 12 Inch Thick Sponge Neoprene Adhesive by Rob Rogers

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good budget alternative to Sorbatan

Product arrived with no physical damage or cosmetic blemishes. I used it to convert a mechanical keyboard and am very satisfied with the result. Noise and vibration are absorbed fairly well, and keyboard rumble is gone. The adhesion is so strong that when I reinserted a piece, the adhesion of the old pieces left marks on the plastic and steel panel. In the case where you put it on and leave it is fine, but in the case where you experiment and peel the neoprene off the surface, cleaning it up afterwards can be a little annoying. I didn't test it for water resistance, but when a few drops of water fell on a piece of neoprene, it soaked it up and didn't let it through to the bottom of the keyboard case. The material is stiff and flexible enough to be used as a gasket attachment. Since it doesn't have a "memory foam" capability you should probably look for some foam rubber or some other material as the material doesn't bounce enough.

Pros
  • - Blocks air, dust and moisture, commonly used around door and window frames
Cons
  • Doubtful
