I bought the mic as many of us now work remotely almost exclusively. My laptop's fan screeches, especially when I'm in a virtual meeting, and the hum can be heard as a high-pitched noise on the other end. With this mic it cuts out background noise completely AND to my pleasant surprise makes me sound VERY clear by cutting out a little echo in my office. I started recording my own videos with it and the quality of what I create is completely different. The microphone added drivers when connected to Windows 10. It becomes an option in all applications where I can select this microphone and eventually made it the default in Windows. In short, it might be one of the cheapest options, but for me it was exactly what I was looking for.
