I wear women's size 7.5-8 medium width but I have a very high instep and arch. So I bought them in W8 and they fit great, not too long, not too short, not too narrow or tight at the top of my instep and they have plenty of room to wiggle my toes. They have very high arch support which is great for my severe foot pain (due to tarsal tunnel syndrome and plantar fasciitis). They keep my pain to a minimum and are my favorite shoe to wear when I have to stand a lot. I can walk in them for hours and prefer these clogs to my running shoes (even with orthopedic insoles). They are very springy, walk on clouds and have good grip on wet surfaces. I can wear them with thin or medium socks and they still fit and are warm enough to wear in winter, at least in southern US temperatures. Without socks, they can be prevented, but after a while the feet sweat. I love these shoes and would highly recommend them for any foot type but I highly recommend them for people with similar foot problems to mine and my podiatrist thinks they are great. In the summer I wear Oofos flip flops which have the same arch support as these clogs.
