The instructions are in microscopic writing and poorly translated into English, apparently from Chinese. As a practicing lawyer with 47 years of experience, I can read English and follow instructions, but I can't figure out how the alarm system works. To make matters worse the instructions come on a tiny piece of paper which is now gone and I can't get the alarm to stop beeping. The device has three buttons on the front and one tiny button on the back that can only be operated with a fingernail, and there's no intuitive way to figure out how it works. I gave it an extra star because I think it can provide an accurate temperature reading, but it's generous at best.
