I have two of these, one for each of my 12 lb cats and have been using them for three years now. They are the perfect balance between design/safety and lightness and comfort. You can detach the stretcher, fold up the center panel and close the outer shell again for very compact storage. There's a soft Velcro bottom that can be removed for cleaning, the plastic clips and zips hold up well (and the zips on the body have little security loops to keep them closed), and the mesh windows are a durable rubberized screen of sorts, not just a flimsy one , handy thread. I recently took my cats on a road trip and one sat in their carrier the whole time and the other decided to camp upstairs (so they have enough structure to not sag!). The only thing I could fault is that I didn't find anything that looked like a "leash holder" on the inside, but with so many zips you could probably tie one on the outside and drag it around. Basically we love them.
